About the role
We are a boutique consulting firm located on Lagos Island, offering management consulting services across key sectors in Africa. We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily transaction processing and record maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Process and post daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Enter financial data into our accounting systems accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- National Diploma in Accounting or an Accounting Technician qualification (e.g., ICAN, AAT).
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
Required skills
- QuickBooks accounting software.
- Microsoft Dynamics accounting system.
