Accountant – NGO/Church Finance

About the role
We are seeking a diligent Accountant to manage the financial operations of our NGO and church‑related activities in Lagos. The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
- Process payments, reimbursements, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements and church accounts.
- Monitor budgets and track expenditures.
- Manage tithes, offerings, donations, and other church income.
- Maintain proper records of church assets and financial documents.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Prepare financial reports for church leadership and management meetings.
Required profile
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Experience in a church, NGO, or non‑profit organization is an advantage.
