About the role

FMR Agency is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its Shipping & Logistics team in Anambra. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting audit and tax activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Handle daily accounting operations and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budget performance.
• Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Support audits and tax‑related activities.
• Utilize accounting software effectively for financial management and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of proven accounting experience.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, or ACCA (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Experience using ERP systems for financial processes.
