Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing all accounting transactions, preparing budgets, and delivering accurate management reports to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions and maintain proper records.
• Prepare budgets, cost and revenue forecasts, and detailed management reports.
• Handle statutory payments, taxes, and deductions in compliance with regulations.
• Assist senior management in making critical financial decisions.
• Utilise accounting software such as PeachTree, Sage, or equivalent to generate reports.
• Apply cost accounting and management accounting principles to improve financial performance.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting (or equivalent); additional certifications are a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and data analysis abilities.
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements and management reports.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PeachTree accounting software.
• Experience using Sage or other accounting systems.
• Cost accounting and management accounting expertise.
• Budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Statutory payments, tax, and deduction processing.
