Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, preparing budgets and reports, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Produce management reports, forecast costs and revenues, and assist in critical financial decision‑making.
• Handle statutory payments, taxes and deductions in compliance with regulations.
• Utilise accounting software such as PeachTree or Sage to process transactions and generate reports.
• Apply cost accounting and management accounting techniques to analyse profitability.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, ability to learn quickly and solve problems.
• Leadership and organisational capabilities.
