Accountant – Full‑time (Auto‑Engineering)

About the role

The company, operating in the auto‑engineering sector, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its Lagos office on a full‑time basis. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial operations and supporting senior management with accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable and payable.
• Record all financial transactions and maintain accounting documents.
• File employee taxes (PAYE) and corporate income tax accurately.
• Ensure timely payment of statutory remittances such as tax, pension and insurance.
• Perform regular bank runs and maintain the petty‑cash book.
• Process vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies and handle petty‑cash disbursements.
• Prepare quarterly reports for the CEO, management accounts and individual/group statements.
• Maintain relationships with statutory bodies and support other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant.
• Proven treasury and cash‑management experience.
• Familiarity with financial management systems, tax regulations and accounting standards.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• QuickBooks accounting application.
