Accountant (Full-time, Lagos)

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves handling a wide range of accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Appraise, evaluate, and inventory company assets while maintaining an asset register.
• Record, reconcile, and post petty cash and fuel imprest transactions.
• Reconcile payments and receipts, confirm customer deposits, and issue receipts.
• Manage all accounting transactions and administer payroll.
• Control income and expenditure, audit financial information, and compile reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements.
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant accounting role.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software (specific platforms not required).
