Account Manager – Financial Management

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an experienced Account Manager for a leading multinational mechanical and electrical contracting company. The role is based in Ikoyi and covers management accounts, reporting, budgeting and liaison with auditors and banks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee reconciliation of all management accounts and review daily accounting processes
• Prepare management account reports with schedules and interpret financial information; review the trial balance monthly
• Prepare monthly payroll in liaison with HR and produce staff payslips after payment
• Monitor and forecast cash flow, and conduct reviews to identify cost-reduction opportunities
• Liaise with auditors and maintain relationships with auditors, bankers, Inland Revenue representatives, statutory organisations and external auditors
• Handle VAT, WHT and PAYE returns and manage budgets
• Ensure accurate payments processed through SAP ERP and advise departments on financial best practice
• Keep records of changes in financial legislation and verify bank charges against bank agreements
• Monitor fixed assets and depreciation, create new account ledgers and cost centres, and perform other assigned duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage)
• ICAN or ACA certification (mandatory)
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting
