Access Control Officer

About the role

The Access Control Officer will manage and monitor the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles and materials at our client’s oil and gas drilling facilities. The role ensures that only authorised individuals and items gain entry, supporting safety, security and HSE compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Control access and egress of personnel and vehicles, verifying IDs, permits and passes.
• Maintain accurate logs of all entries and exits and monitor visitor and contractor access.
• Operate and monitor access control systems, gates, barriers and related equipment.
• Conduct security checks and report suspicious activities, unauthorised attempts or breaches.
• Support personnel accountability, emergency mustering and coordination with security teams during incidents.
• Ensure restricted areas are accessed only by authorised staff and maintain confidentiality of security information.
• Prepare access control reports and keep relevant documentation up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/OND or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in access control, security, facility management or a similar role.
• Experience in oil & gas, marine, offshore or industrial environments is an advantage.
• Valid offshore safety certification and medical fitness where applicable.
• Security‑related certification or training is a plus.
