Welder – Fabrication & Repair

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team in Ibadan. The role involves fabricating, installing, and repairing equipment to meet production specifications and maintain high productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret job orders, calculate material quantities and prepare requisitions.
• Fabricate components according to design specifications using appropriate welding methods.
• Set up and cut materials with powered saws, align parts with calipers or rulers, and clamp for welding.
• Operate manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Perform weld inspections, test welded joints, and repair machinery as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, operational condition.

Required profile

• OND/NABTEB/C&G/WAEC Technical qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum two years of welding experience in a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
• Organised, responsible and able to manage materials efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of working in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Manual and semi‑automatic welding techniques.
• Operation of angle grinders for part preparation.
• Use of powered saws for material cutting.
• Measurement and alignment using calipers, rulers and clamps.
• Equipment setup and maintenance for safe welding operations.
• Weld inspection and testing procedures.
