About the role
The WASH Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring and documentation of water, sanitation and hygiene programmes across several states in Nigeria. This entry‑level position provides technical and operational assistance to improve safe water and sanitation access for vulnerable children and communities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of WASH programmes.
- Collect, analyse and present programme data to ensure evidence‑based decision making.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities related to WASH.
- Coordinate with government counterparts, implementing partners and other stakeholders.
- Provide administrative and reporting support throughout the WASH programming cycle.
Required profile
- Entry‑level professional (NOA level) with a willingness to learn UNICEF rules, regulations and procedures.
- National officer status, able to work in multiple locations across Nigeria.
- Strong collaboration skills with government, partners and internal teams.
