Volunteer Graphic Designer & Infographer

About the role

Counsellia builds a digital-first ecosystem of free and subsidized confidential counseling and psychoeducational resources for youth and young adults. It is expanding its remote creative media team and is looking for a passionate, forward-thinking volunteer graphic designer and infographer who uses modern AI tools to speed up workflows and improve visual storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI design tools together with traditional software to create social media carousels, post graphics, campaign banners and video thumbnails.
• Turn psychological research, statistics and mental health tips into clear, shareable infographics that match Counsellia's visual identity.
• Work with content writers and outreach leads to visualize monthly awareness themes.
• Maintain professional design standards, user privacy and strict brand consistency across all outputs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in graphic design, visual communication or information design; a portfolio is required.
• Experience producing rapid, high-quality concepts with AI design tools.
• A strong grasp of typography, colour theory, layout hierarchy and data visualization.
• Deep empathy for youth mental health advocacy and alignment with Counsellia's mission.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet collaborative deadlines remotely.

What we offer

• The chance to use design skills to help destigmatize mental health and give young people coping resources.
• A formal letter of recommendation and reference after 3 months of dedicated service.
• The opportunity to build a portfolio with a team of remote creators, counselors and community advocates.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; interested candidates can send their CV and portfolio link by email.
