Videographer (Remote, Lagos-based)

About the role

Tonic Technologies is looking for a Videographer to capture the stories behind its brand, from product shoots and team moments to events and community programmes. You will plan and shoot footage and handle quick edits when content needs to go out fast. This is a full-time remote role; you must live in or near Lagos and come to the office or shoot location when there is a shoot.

Key responsibilities

• Shoot content for TikTok, Instagram, X and YouTube: product videos, skits, interviews, behind-the-scenes and trend content.
• Cover events and community programmes such as Upskill, Cardtonic Cares and Tonic FC.
• Plan shoots with the marketing and design teams: shot lists, locations, props and talent.
• Handle lighting, framing and audio so footage looks and sounds clean.
• Edit quickly for fast-turnaround posts, such as same-day event recaps.
• Hand over well-organised footage to the Video Editor for bigger edits.
• Take care of camera gear and keep it ready for the next shoot.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional videography experience with published work (a must).
• Reel showing range across social content, events, interviews and storytelling.
• Comfortable directing people on camera and making them feel relaxed.
• Able to edit a clean, captioned short video on your own when needed.
• Knows what works on social: vertical framing, strong first seconds and current trends.
• Organised, reliable and able to work remotely, meeting deadlines without being chased.

Required skills

• Editing: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or CapCut.
• Nice to have: drone skills, photography, motion graphics, experience shooting for a fintech or consumer brand, and ideas for content.
