Urgent Resource Mobilization Officer – Fixed-Term (Abuja)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, results‑oriented Resource Mobilization Officer to lead fundraising and partnership efforts for a women‑led NGO in Abuja, Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy, including crowdfunding, donation boxes, grant acquisition and digital fundraising.
• Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners, faith‑based institutions and philanthropists.
• Research and track local and international funding opportunities aligned with the organization’s priorities.
• Write high‑quality proposals, concept notes, expressions of interest and donor reports.
• Collaborate with program and finance teams to develop project budgets and fundraising targets.
• Monitor fundraising performance, maintain donor databases and report on achievements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, international relations, public health, mass communication, business administration, English or related field (master’s degree a plus).
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, donor engagement or grant acquisition within NGOs or similar organizations.
• Proven track record of securing at least USD 500,000 in funding, with higher amounts considered an advantage.
• Experience managing crowdfunding, digital fundraising and innovative income‑generation initiatives.
