Thrift Collection Officer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Thrift Collection Officer to join our team in Kano. You will be responsible for gathering daily, weekly, or monthly thrift contributions from customers in your assigned territory, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and timely remittance of funds.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers at homes, shops, and markets to collect thrift contributions.
• Onboard new thrift savers, explain savings plans, and expand the customer base.
• Record all collections, issue receipts, and update savings ledgers or passbooks.
• Balance daily collection sheets and deposit funds to the office or bank promptly.
• Educate customers on savings benefits, loan eligibility, and financial discipline while handling complaints professionally.
• Identify eligible customers for loans and refer them to the credit department.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collections, new accounts, and customer feedback.

Required profile

• Trustworthy and honest, handling cash daily.
• Good interpersonal skills, market‑friendly, persuasive, and respectful.
• Numerate with basic math abilities and record‑keeping competence.
