Technical Team Lead – Security Systems

About the role

Polar Afpro Ltd is seeking a Technical Team Lead to own site activities, solve technical problems and ensure installations meet high standards of quality and safety. The role involves leading a team of technicians on security projects for private homes, businesses and industrial facilities, including the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support technicians on installation and maintenance projects.
• Plan site activities, allocate tasks and coordinate tools and materials.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot CCTV and access control systems.
• Supervise electric fencing and perimeter security installations.
• Monitor progress, keep projects on schedule and oversee testing, commissioning and client handover.
• Communicate clearly with clients and management and maintain accurate site reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience with CCTV and access control systems.
• Proven experience supervising technicians or leading a technical team.
• Good knowledge of IP networking, structured cabling and system integration.
• Experience with electric fencing and perimeter intrusion detection is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and resolve faults systematically.
• Responsible approach to safety, workmanship and customer service; availability to work in Lagos and travel to project sites.
