Technical Assistant (Construction & Property Development)

About the role

Bridgemead Advisory is seeking a Technical Assistant to lead the technical planning, supervision and delivery of construction and property development projects in Lagos. The role combines on‑site coordination, regulatory compliance and technical mentorship across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and deliver construction and property development projects from inception to handover.
• Conduct technical due diligence, feasibility studies, site investigations and structural assessments.
• Review architectural, structural, engineering and survey drawings for compliance with standards.
• Coordinate statutory approvals, planning permits and building approvals with government agencies.
• Monitor project quality, timelines, budgets, resources, contractor performance and technical risks.
• Supervise the Procurement Manager and Facility Manager to ensure quality sourcing and safe facilities.
• Develop and implement SOPs, quality‑assurance processes and project governance frameworks.
• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments and strategic recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, real‑estate or property development.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Land Use Act, land acquisition, title verification and building regulations.
• Proven ability to coordinate statutory approvals and engage with regulatory authorities.
