Technical Advisor II – Service Delivery (Nigeria)

About the role

The Technical Advisor II – Service Delivery will provide technical advice and guidance to strengthen community and facility‑based health networks delivering integrated HIV, TB, malaria, MCH and nutrition services in Nigeria. Working with the FCI team and implementing partners, the role focuses on service quality, integration, supervision and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply strategies, standards, tools and best practices for integrated health service delivery aligned with national policies and donor requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to implementing partners and government counterparts to plan, implement and monitor hub‑and‑spoke service delivery models.
• Support facilities and LGA health structures to improve quality of care, respectful care practices, infection prevention and referral systems.
• Strengthen supervision systems, including joint supervision with LGA health management teams and routine performance reviews.
• Ensure faith‑based and community‑supported facilities comply with Ministry of Health standards, guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Mentor and coach staff and partners through learning agendas, training and coaching on service delivery and quality improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, medicine, nursing, health systems or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive professional experience in health service delivery advisory or technical roles.
• Experience providing technical assistance and supporting facility‑ or district‑level service delivery in low‑resource settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government and donor partners to integrate service delivery priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with web‑conferencing tools.
• Familiarity with information‑management systems.
