Tax & Compliance Officer

About the role

The Tax & Compliance Officer will lead delivery of tax and regulatory compliance services for businesses using the JusticeSure platform. You will act as the primary compliance advisor, translating statutory requirements into scalable, client‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end tax and compliance services for client businesses, ensuring timely filing and remittance of Company Income Tax, VAT, WHT, PAYE and other payroll obligations.
• Design and implement scalable workflows, templates, checklists and timelines to deliver compliance services across multiple client entities.
• Ensure client businesses meet requirements of the Corporate Affairs Commission, State Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities, handling registrations, filings and renewals.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to translate compliance processes into platform features and identify automation opportunities.
• Identify compliance risks, support clients during audits and provide proactive tax planning and advisory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in tax, audit or compliance, preferably in an audit or tax firm.
• Completed NYSC.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax and regulatory environment.
• Experience with CAC, NRS and SIRS processes.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and build robust compliance processes.
