Tailor

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Tailor to join our fashion studio in Lagos. You will work directly with clients to create well‑fitted garments, ensuring high‑quality craftsmanship and a polished finish.

Key responsibilities

• Take accurate measurements of clients to determine fitting and design requirements.
• Advise clients on garment styles, fabrics, patterns, and possible design modifications.
• Conduct fitting sessions, marking, pinning, and adjusting garments for a precise fit.
• Press and steam finished garments to remove wrinkles and achieve a professional presentation.
• Inspect garments for quality, stitching accuracy, and adherence to design specifications before client pickup.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines, sergers, irons, shears, and other tailoring tools.
• Track tailoring supplies such as threads, needles, zippers, buttons, and interfacings, keeping the workspace clean and organized.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of SSCE.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar tailoring role.

Required skills

• Operating sewing machines and sergers.
• Using irons, steam presses, and shears.
• Accurate measurement and fitting of garments.
