Superintendent Pharmacist

About the role

The Superintendent Pharmacist will act as the primary professional liaison between Maximedge and Nigerian health regulatory bodies. This senior pharmacy professional will ensure that all pharmacy operations, licences and compliance activities meet the highest standards of safety and legality.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the designated liaison with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) and other authorities such as NAFDAC.
• Coordinate acquisition, renewal and maintenance of all pharmacy licences, premises registrations and regulatory certificates.
• Develop, review, update and implement company‑wide Standard Operating Procedures covering procurement, storage, dispensing, waste disposal and controlled medicines.
• Monitor pharmacy outlets for professional and ethical compliance and conduct periodic audits.
• Oversee the procurement chain to prevent counterfeit, expired or substandard medicines.
• Provide professional oversight of controlled drugs, ensuring accurate registers, documentation and mandatory reporting.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a valid practising licence in Nigeria.
• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of relevant experience in pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of PCN, NAFDAC and controlled substances regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and enforce SOPs and lead compliance audits.
