Specialist Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

About the role

The Specialist Nurse – Outpatient Clinic will provide high‑quality nursing care to patients attending the AMCE outpatient clinic for consultations, treatments and follow‑up. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, care coordination, treatment administration and patient education while working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial and follow‑up patient assessments, record vital signs, medical history and current health concerns.
• Administer medications, wound care, chemotherapy and other treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate patient flow, schedule follow‑up appointments and referrals to specialists or diagnostic services.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use and self‑care practices.
• Prepare and assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring sterile technique and infection control.
• Maintain accurate patient records, complete clinic documentation and report adverse reactions promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a Diploma in Nursing with post‑basic training in Oncology or Haematology.
• Valid practising licence and membership in relevant nursing associations.
• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in oncology or chemotherapy administration.
