Sourcing & Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sourcing & Procurement Officer to support our engineering procurement operations in Ikeja, Lagos. The role involves sourcing quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to prevent stock shortages.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Support contract administration and vendor performance evaluations.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports and provide updates to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of procurement experience, preferably within engineering, construction, manufacturing or procurement environments.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, vendor management and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or procurement management systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
