Social Media Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Social Media Officer to support the online presence of our founder, Dr. Andy Osakwe, and to help promote the ministry’s events, publications and initiatives across multiple platforms. Working closely with administrators, content creators, graphic designers and video editors, you will develop and execute social‑media strategies that amplify our message worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team of social‑media executives.
• Design and implement publicity plans for events, books, activities and partnership initiatives.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and video editors to produce engaging visual and video content.
• Monitor live‑streamed broadcasts and ensure smooth delivery.
• Manage content calendars, campaign roll‑outs and audience interaction.
• Track analytics, generate performance reports and optimise content based on data.
• Research emerging trends to keep the brand strategy current.
• Maintain visual and tonal consistency across all platforms.
• Experiment with reels, carousels, user‑generated content and other formats.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience managing social‑media accounts for brands or agencies.
• Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X and Threads.
• Good understanding of YouTube and Spotify.
• Creative storytelling ability and comfort with performance tracking, reporting and optimisation.
• Experience working within or leading a collaborative team.
