Social Media Intern

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Social Media Intern to support our marketing team in Lagos. The role will involve managing content across six platforms, creating video assets, and assisting with digital campaigns throughout the NYSC service year.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, publish and monitor approved content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube, engaging with followers and escalating inquiries as needed.
• Edit high‑quality videos for reels, shorts, promotional pieces and event coverage, adding captions, branding, music and visual effects while optimizing for each platform.
• Upload marketing materials, promote GIS training, drone services, webinars and corporate events, and support live‑event video capture.
• Track performance metrics, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and recommend improvements based on analytics.
• Maintain the social media content calendar, organize digital assets and ensure confidentiality of company information.
• Meet deadlines, uphold high‑quality standards and assist with any additional tasks assigned by the Social Media Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, English, Computer Science or related field.
• Serving NYSC Corps Member willing to complete the full NYSC year at Geoinfotech Resources Limited.
• Proficient in video‑editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
• Practical experience managing content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube.
• Good understanding of social‑media management, digital marketing best practices and basic graphic‑design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong creativity, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
