Social Media & Audience Manager

About the role

The Social Media & Audience Manager will lead Business Xperiment’s presence across social platforms, creating and executing content calendars that drive engagement and audience growth. Working in a hybrid setting in Lagos, the role blends strategic planning with day‑to‑day community interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and publish content across major social media channels, optimizing for reach and engagement.
• Monitor industry trends and tailor content to distinct audience segments.
• Collaborate with editorial and content teams to amplify stories, analyses and insights.
• Manage community interactions by responding to comments and messages promptly.
• Track performance metrics, analyse data and refine social and audience strategies.
• Support audience development initiatives such as newsletters, campaigns and partnership programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in social media marketing and SMO, managing brand accounts on major platforms.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft platform‑appropriate messages.
• Background in content strategy, audience development and media or journalism is an advantage.
• Strong organizational abilities and comfort working in a hybrid environment in Lagos.
