Site Engineer

About the role

Quema Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to supervise reinforced concrete works on construction projects in Lagos. The role involves ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise concrete works including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, curing and inspections.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings and ensure accurate site implementation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, tradesmen and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct quality control checks such as concrete mix, slump and cube tests.
• Monitor materials, manpower, equipment and overall site progress.
• Prepare daily and weekly site reports and work plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building construction, especially reinforced concrete structures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality control and concrete testing methods.
• Leadership, project management and organisational skills.
• Professional membership (COREN, NSE) is an advantage.
