Senior Sales Officer – Cosmetics (Nigeria)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Officer with strong experience in the cosmetics, beauty, personal care, or FMCG industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing distributor and customer relationships, and expanding market presence within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
• Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, salons, and key accounts.
• Identify and acquire new customers and business opportunities, expanding the distribution network.
• Conduct regular market visits to spot sales opportunities and monitor market activities.
• Negotiate prices, orders, promotions, and commercial terms within approved guidelines.
• Monitor customer orders, stock availability, sales volumes, and market demand.
• Track competitors, market pricing, customer preferences, and industry trends.
• Prepare regular sales reports, market updates, forecasts, and territory performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of the cosmetics and beauty market in Nigeria.
• Experience managing distributors, wholesalers, retailers, or key accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to develop new accounts and convert prospects into customers.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
