Senior Logistics Analyst – Nigeria
Zipline · Lagos
Job description
About the role
Zipline is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to own and manage Nigeria‑level logistics operations. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end import, customs, warehousing and delivery of finished goods, aircraft spares and production materials, ensuring uninterrupted service for Zipline’s autonomous delivery network.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end logistics for finished goods, aircraft and ground‑equipment spares, and production materials from origin to Zipline sites.
- Build shipment plans covering routing, consolidation, port/airport handoffs, inland transport, delivery appointments and receipt confirmation.
- Lead import enablement and customs execution, handling approvals, licenses, permits, renewals and broker coordination.
- Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, transporters and warehouse partners against service, cost and compliance expectations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy across Nigerian storage locations through cycle counts, audits, reconciliations and stock monitoring.
- Establish and improve operating procedures for inbound transport, customs, warehousing, inventory and emergency shipments.
- Report logistics health via on‑time delivery, customs‑clearance lead time, inventory accuracy, landed cost and partner‑service KPIs, providing risk assessments and recommendations to leadership.
Required profile
- 10+ years of progressively responsible logistics, supply chain, transportation or operations experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Direct experience with international inbound freight, customs clearance, inland transportation, warehouse operations and inventory controls in Nigeria or a similarly complex environment.
- Proven ability to own an operating area end‑to‑end with limited oversight, making trade‑offs, anticipating issues and delivering through external partners.
- Strong analytical skills to turn shipment, inventory and cost data into clear decisions and action plans.
- Experience building SOPs, dashboards, controls or operating rhythms that improve execution and reliability.
- Excellent communication with carriers, brokers, forwarders, senior stakeholders and government counterparts.
- High integrity, attention to detail and persistence in a regulated, ambiguous environment; fluent English and ability to work from Lagos with occasional overseas travel.
