Senior Legal Associate (Fintech/Payments)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing fintech company, is looking for a Senior Legal Associate to ensure its payment solutions and business operations comply with legal, regulatory and ethical standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and report to the Head of Legal, driving scalable legal processes in a high‑growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as merchant, partner, NDA and vendor contracts.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries and playbooks to improve efficiency.
• Maintain organized, audit‑ready contract repositories and documentation systems.
• Support corporate governance, legal operations, litigation assistance and advisory services.
• Collaborate with fraud, HR, finance, sales, product, engineering and customer support teams.
• Drive process improvements and scalable legal workflows.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in financial services or payments is a strong asset.
• Tech‑savvy with strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Action‑oriented, analytical and able to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Positive attitude, collaborative mindset and a good sense of humor.
