Senior Finance, Grants & Contracts Manager

About the role

Deek'S Ventures is seeking a Senior Finance, Grants & Contracts Manager to provide strategic financial leadership for HPS Nigeria. The role acts as a trusted advisor to senior management, overseeing budgeting, cash‑flow planning and grant administration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and burn‑rate analysis.
• Manage the full grant lifecycle from proposal budgeting to award set‑up, implementation, reporting, amendments and close‑out.
• Oversee subcontract and sub‑award financial management, including due‑diligence, payment reviews and partner monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with donor, HPS, IFPRI and local regulatory requirements, focusing on cost allowability.
• Strengthen internal controls through segregation of duties, approval workflows and fraud‑prevention measures.
• Supervise treasury operations, banking relationships, liquidity management and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Coordinate external and donor audits, implement corrective actions and drive process‑improvement initiatives such as automation and dashboard development.
• Mentor and develop finance and grants staff, fostering high performance and accountability.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• At least an MSc or MBA degree in a related field.
