Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build and scale the data infrastructure that powers decision‑making across Chowdeck. You will work closely with Product, Operations, Finance and Engineering teams to deliver reliable data pipelines and support analytics, reporting and machine learning workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows.
• Improve the reliability, quality and accessibility of data across the organization.
• Build and optimise data‑warehouse architecture and data models.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Enhance observability, monitoring and governance practices for data systems.
• Optimise large‑scale data processing and query performance.
• Support machine‑learning and experimentation workflows with reliable datasets.
• Define data‑engineering standards, tooling and best practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining production‑grade data systems.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with Python or similar languages.
• Experience with modern data‑stack technologies and cloud platforms.
• Ability to design scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong focus on data quality, reliability and performance.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable thriving in fast‑paced environments with evolving priorities.
