Senior Business Development Officer

About the role

The Senior Business Development Officer will drive growth, acquire new customers, and generate revenue for the Ikoyi branch. The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and promoting the company's Takaful insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to meet individual and branch business development targets across corporate, SME, retail, and affinity markets.
• Generate quality leads through networking, referrals, direct marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, brokers, agents, and strategic partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide actionable market intelligence.
• Prepare periodic sales and business development reports and track performance against KPIs.
• Uphold data protection and confidentiality standards in handling company information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role.
• Professional certifications such as CIIN, CIM, or equivalent are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
