Senior Business Development Officer – Financial Institutions

About the role

The Senior Business Development Officer will lead the creation and expansion of strategic partnerships with banks, micro‑finance institutions, fintechs, investment firms and other financial entities. The role focuses on driving premium generation, revenue growth and market penetration for the company's Takaful insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to acquire and manage financial institution partnerships, identifying new business opportunities across banks, micro‑finance, fintech, mortgage and investment firms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers, conduct regular engagement meetings, and ensure high partner satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activities; provide market insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Generate business through institutional referrals, drive corporate and retail client acquisition, and promote cross‑selling of product offerings.
• Uphold data protection and confidentiality standards, complying with internal policies and relevant laws.
• Execute any additional duties assigned by the company and support knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in business development, relationship management, bancassurance/bancatakaful, banking, financial services or partnership management.
• Professional certifications such as CIIN, CIM or equivalent are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM software.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
