Senior Automation Specialist (Central Engineering)

About the role

The Senior Automation Specialist (Central Engineering) provides advanced technical expertise for automation systems across Coca‑Cola HBC manufacturing sites. You will troubleshoot critical automation issues, lead the servo‑motor repair programme and drive industrial 3D‑printing initiatives to improve equipment availability and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced automation support to all manufacturing plants.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex PLC, HMI, SCADA and motion‑control failures.
• Support critical plant incidents and enhance overall system reliability.
• Lead the organisation’s servo‑motor repair programme.
• Coordinate industrial 3D‑printing projects for engineering spare parts.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for automation assets.
• Standardise, modernise and manage the lifecycle of automation equipment.
• Create technical documentation, standards and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineering, Production, Procurement and OEM partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial automation experience in FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage or process industries.
• Strong hands‑on background with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, industrial networks, motion control and servo systems.
• Practical experience with Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider Electric platforms.
• Proven troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and fault‑diagnosis abilities.
• Experience in servo‑motor repair, predictive maintenance, industrial 3D‑printing, SAP or bottling technology.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
