Senior Automation Specialist – Central Engineering

About the role

The Senior Automation Specialist supports automation systems across Coca‑Cola HBC manufacturing plants, providing advanced technical expertise, troubleshooting critical issues, and improving system reliability. The role also leads strategic initiatives such as the servo motor repair programme and industrial 3D‑printing for spare parts, driving cost reduction and equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced automation support to all manufacturing sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control system failures.
• Support critical plant incidents and enhance overall system reliability.
• Lead the organisation’s servo motor repair programme.
• Coordinate industrial 3D‑printing projects for engineering spare parts.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance for automation equipment.
• Support standardisation, modernisation, and lifecycle management of automation assets.
• Develop technical documentation, standards, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineering, Production, Procurement, and OEMs to deliver reliable automation solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation within FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, or process industries.
• Strong hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, motion control and servo systems.
• Practical experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric or similar platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience with servo motor repairs, predictive maintenance, industrial 3D‑printing, SAP or bottling technology.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging technologies.
