Senior Android Developer - Kotlin Multiplatform & AI Coding

About the role

We are building a mobile app that blends real‑world interactions with location and proximity technologies, leveraging AI coding tools and autonomous agents to accelerate development. As a senior developer you will own the Android side, deliver reliable software, and help shape our AI‑assisted workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve the Android application using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Design shared logic and integrate platform‑specific features, especially GPS, BLE, UWB and related device capabilities.
• Handle mobile challenges such as permissions, background execution, battery consumption and device fragmentation.
• Use AI coding assistants and coding agents for feature implementation, defect investigation, refactoring and testing.
• Set up and refine agentic development workflows, including task decomposition, automated checks and review processes.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness, maintainability, security and performance.
• Test functionality on real devices and resolve issues beyond automated tests.
• Mentor a junior team member through pair programming, demos and clear explanations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience delivering production Android apps with Kotlin.
• Strong practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, shared code and platform integrations.
• Deep knowledge of Android architecture, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Flow and state management.
• Excellent debugging skills across code, APIs and device behavior.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools to ship working software.
• Interest in agentic coding and ability to build effective workflows around coding agents.
• Patience and ability to teach less‑experienced developers.
• Self‑motivated, clear communicator, able to work independently in a remote team.
