School Driver & Transport Officer

About the role

The school is looking for a reliable driver to transport staff and support the school’s transport needs. You will operate the staff bus, handle office pickups and deliveries, and ensure safe, punctual travel for school personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Transport assigned staff to and from destinations.
• Drive the staff bus when required.
• Perform office pickups and deliveries.
• Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays.
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
• Maintain professional interaction with staff and the public.
• Ensure the vehicle is fueled, serviced and ready for use.
• Arrange vehicle repairs and keep mileage and repair records up to date.
• Comply with all traffic laws and school safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least three years.
• Ability to drive for extended periods and strong commitment to safety.
• Excellent navigational skills and good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Awareness of child protection and safeguarding practices is an advantage.
