Salesperson (Financial Services)

About the role

The Salesperson will join Leadway’s Lagos team, working in a hybrid setting to promote a range of financial products, including insurance, pensions, and health management solutions. You will be responsible for generating new business, guiding prospects through the sales journey, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and nurture leads across individual and corporate segments.
• Present and tailor financial products to meet client needs.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and post‑sale follow‑up.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Conduct needs assessments, prepare proposals and negotiate terms.
• Collaborate with internal product and compliance teams to stay updated on offerings and regulations.
• Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline reports and CRM data.
• Achieve assigned sales targets while upholding ethical selling standards.

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse customers.
• Basic financial literacy with an understanding of insurance, pensions or health products.
• Organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND; prior sales experience preferred.
