Route-to-Market Manager - Ibadan & Lagos

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG company, is looking for an experienced Route-to-Market (RTM) Manager to design and execute nationwide distribution strategies. The role focuses on improving product availability, market penetration, and sales performance across Ibadan and Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement RTM strategies to boost product availability and market coverage.
• Design and optimise distributor territories, sales routes and coverage plans using geo‑mapping tools.
• Build and manage strong relationships with distributors, monitoring performance and inventory levels.
• Establish and track key sales KPIs such as market coverage, SKU distribution and sales productivity.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Sales Force Automation (SFA) systems.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and other cross‑functional teams to ensure effective trade execution.

Required profile

• B.A./B.Sc./MBA in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of sales and marketing experience, with at least 2 years in RTM within FMCG.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s market structure, distribution channels and consumer trends.
• Proven experience in sales planning, distributor management and route optimisation.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
