Risk and Compliance Officer

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Officer will support the organisation by identifying, assessing and mitigating risks that could affect operations, finances or reputation. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure robust insurance and compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor insurance broker performance against SLAs, compliance standards and service quality benchmarks; flag gaps and escalations.
• Ensure accountability of third‑party partners, strengthen governance and support cost‑effective insurance risk transfer strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments across fleet and warehouse operations, recommend mitigation actions and track implementation.
• Collaborate with Fleet, Warehouse, Workshop and HSE teams to collect, validate and analyse risk and compliance data.
• Support end‑to‑end insurance claims administration, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policy timelines.
• Review, maintain and update insurance policies to meet regulatory and internal governance requirements.
• Track compliance with internal risk management policies, insurance protocols and external regulations.
• Maintain risk registers, prepare risk and compliance reports for management and audit purposes.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing required documentation and insights.
• Identify control gaps and process inefficiencies, recommending improvements aligned with best practices.
• Stay current on insurance products, regulatory changes and risk management best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
