Retail Sales Specialist

About the role

The Retail Sales Specialist is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Lagos. The role drives retail sales across Leadway’s product portfolio by engaging walk‑in and referred customers, presenting options and supporting clients through the sales and onboarding process.

Key responsibilities

• Engage walk‑in and referred customers, present product options and support onboarding.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable financial and insurance products.
• Handle inquiries and maintain accurate sales records in line with company standards.
• Follow up on leads and build relationships with new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with branch and marketing teams to execute promotional activities.
• Ensure excellent customer service at every interaction.
• Use company systems and tools while adhering to regulatory and compliance guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing product and sales training.

Required profile

• Strong retail sales experience with solid product knowledge of financial or insurance offerings.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse individual and corporate clients.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Basic numeracy, attention to detail and ability to use CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
• Previous experience in retail, financial services or insurance; diploma or degree in business, marketing or related fields is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Lagos, manage time effectively and meet sales targets ethically and in line with regulatory requirements.
