Research & Learning Officer

About the role

This position advances organizational knowledge through rigorous research, thorough documentation of insights and the facilitation of data-driven program improvements. It acts as a bridge between empirical findings and strategic decisions, helping initiatives stay refined by evidence and experience. The role is full-time and based in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out in-depth research projects and extensive literature reviews to inform current initiatives.
• Gather and interpret data and information to support strategic objectives.
• Assist in designing and running surveys and needs assessments to find gaps and opportunities.
• Record and codify successful methods and lessons learned across project cycles.
• Draft detailed research reports and create knowledge-sharing materials.
• Coordinate and lead sessions on organizational learning and insight sharing.
• Develop evidence-based suggestions to improve programs continuously.

Required profile

• Proven ability to conduct high-quality research and synthesize complex information.
• Experience facilitating surveys and needs assessments.
• Strong ability to document processes, best practices and outcomes.
• Excellent written communication for professional reports and knowledge products.
• Track record of recommendations that lead to tangible program improvements.
