Relationship Manager – Asset Management (Abuja & Lagos)

About the role

We are seeking a high‑caliber, results‑driven Relationship Manager to join our dynamic Asset Management team in Abuja and Lagos. The role is central to expanding the firm’s Assets Under Management (AUM) by leveraging a strong network of high‑net‑worth individuals and institutional investors. The successful candidate will deploy a full suite of investment products, construct tailored portfolios, and deliver superior performance for clients. This position reports to senior leadership and works closely with the investment and sales functions.

Key responsibilities

• Aggressively grow the firm’s AUM by cross‑selling and up‑selling the complete range of investment products and services to existing and new high‑net‑worth and institutional clients.
• Design, build and maintain customized investment portfolios that align with each client’s risk tolerance, investment horizon and financial objectives.
• Conduct regular strategic advisory meetings with C‑suite executives and private‑wealth clients to assess financial status, identify needs, evaluate risks and track progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define, implement and achieve short‑, medium‑ and long‑term strategic objectives for the Asset Management business.
• Prepare accurate weekly activity reports and comprehensive monthly performance reports, presenting findings and strategic recommendations directly to the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Proven track record of managing a large, active portfolio of private‑wealth and institutional clients, with a portable network that can be leveraged immediately.
• Significant experience at a reputable competitor such as a major asset manager, investment bank or wealth‑management firm, demonstrating deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and successful sales methodology.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, capable of influencing senior executives, simplifying complex financial instruments and securing high‑value mandates.
