Regional Security Officer (South West)

About the role

Moniepoint Inc., a Nigerian financial platform serving millions of businesses and individuals, is looking for a Regional Security Officer for its South West region. The role leads regional security operations, manages on-ground teams and identifies risks so that Moniepoint's offices remain safe places where teams can work without worry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of security policies protecting staff, offices and equipment across the region
• Conduct regular security assessments to spot vulnerabilities and reduce risk
• Supervise and mentor private security guards and armed police personnel
• Act as the main liaison with law enforcement and emergency services
• Lead responses to security breaches and accidents, with clear factual reports
• Design and deliver training on life-saving protocols for security personnel and employees
• Stay ahead of security trends and technology such as CCTV and access control
• Advise on asset recovery and fraud investigation

Required profile

• At least 5 years leading a security team in a guard services or physical security company, or 5 years as an ex-commissioned service personnel supervisor (military, police or paramilitary)
• Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or a related field
• Recognized security certification such as CPP, PSP or CPO
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass a background check
• Speaks the local dialects of the major tribes in the assigned region

Required skills

• Experience with automated security systems such as CCTV and burglar alarm systems
• Good communication and leadership under pressure
