Recruitment Associate

About the role

Makarios Consulting Services is looking for a motivated Recruitment Associate to join our talent acquisition team in Port Harcourt. You will play a key role in sourcing, assessing and onboarding qualified candidates for our clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and other channels.
• Draft and publish job advertisements on multiple platforms.
• Screen CVs, shortlist candidates and conduct telephone, virtual and preliminary interviews.
• Coordinate interview schedules with clients and hiring managers, and prepare interview reports.
• Maintain candidate databases and ATS, ensuring all recruitment records are complete.
• Prepare offer letters, onboarding documentation and support pre‑employment paperwork.
• Enter recruitment data accurately, maintain dashboards and generate weekly/monthly reports.
• Track metrics such as Time‑to‑Hire, Cost‑per‑Hire and source effectiveness.
• Assist with employer branding initiatives and represent the firm at career fairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Social Sciences or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR or executive search.
• Professional HR certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical, reporting and presentation abilities.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism and ability to work independently.
