Quality Control Engineer – Steel/Piles Production

About the role

The Quality Control Engineer will ensure that steel sheet piles, beam profiles, and welded pipe profiles meet the required quality standards throughout production and delivery. You will work closely with production teams, project managers, and customers to guarantee compliance with inspection and testing plans.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise production processes to verify compliance with the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Prepare welding procedure specifications (WPS) as needed for each project.
• Coordinate and document Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) and Destructive Testing (DT) activities.
• Perform random sample inspections and cross‑checks on products and processes.
• Manage non‑conformities, issue NCRs, and propose corrective actions.
• Visit customers and subcontractors for complaint handling and quality audits.
• Maintain traceability of assembled products and oversee calibration of measuring equipment.
• Ensure timely renewal and documentation of welder certificates.

Required profile

• Knowledge of processing and manufacturing techniques for steel sheet piles, beam profiles, and welded pipe profiles.
• Strong commercial insight and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work digitally and maintain accurate quality documentation.
