Public Relations Manager

About the role

The Public Relations Manager will lead AMCE’s communication strategy, enhance its corporate image and manage media relations across Nigeria and internationally. This role is pivotal in promoting the centre’s healthcare services and research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communication plans aligned with AMCE’s strategic goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers and media outlets; draft and distribute press releases and media advisories.
• Create and manage content for press releases, website, social media, blogs and internal communications.
• Design and execute a strategic social‑media plan to increase brand awareness and engagement.
• Lead internal communication initiatives, including employee newsletters and intranet updates.
• Monitor media coverage, public perception and manage reputation, including crisis communication planning and execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism or a related field; Master’s/MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of public‑relations experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry.
• Professional certifications or membership in bodies such as the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations are advantageous.
• Proven track record of successful PR campaigns, media outreach and crisis communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with PR software tools.
• Social media management and content creation expertise.
