Provider Relations Manager

About the role

The Provider Relations Manager manages the relationship between the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and its network of healthcare providers. The role covers contract negotiation, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), provider onboarding and education, and ongoing collaboration so that enrollees receive high-quality care. It is a full-time position based in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the provider network, negotiate contracts and continuously assess provider performance on service delivery, billing and quality of care.
• Coordinate onboarding of new providers and educate them on HMO policies, procedures, billing and regulatory requirements; develop training programmes.
• Act as the main point of contact for providers, resolve disputes and monitor provider satisfaction.
• Develop strategies to expand the provider network and work with the business development team to grow provider offerings in new regions.
• Uphold confidentiality, follow information security guidelines and report suspected data breaches.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the company, take part in the department's knowledge-sharing programme and support the Managing Director and Vice Chairman as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in provider relations or network management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and HMO policies.
• Analytical skills to assess provider performance and make data-driven decisions.
