Professional Furniture Carpenter (Ibadan)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Furniture Carpenter to join our team in Ibadan. The role involves creating high‑quality furniture pieces, ensuring precise dimensions and finishes, and producing items such as wooden doors, beds, dining tables, kitchen cabinets, custom cabinetry, and sofa sets.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finish specifications.
• Craft a wide range of bespoke and multifunctional furniture using various woodworking machines and tools.
• Prioritize health and safety measures and maintain a clean, organized workshop.
• Assemble wooden articles such as cabinets and frames with precision and quality.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, design and technical teams, customer service, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
• Adhere to company quality standards and meet or exceed customer expectations during installations.
• Lift and move furniture items and equipment as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Professional Furniture Carpenter in a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
• Excellent carpentry and joinery craftsmanship.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with physical strength and stamina to lift heavy furniture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred: NABTEB, Trade Test, or Diploma in Woodworks.
